  • Are you a managed service provider (MSP)?
    No. We don’t run your help desk, dispatch field techs, or sell antivirus subscriptions. We are the executive layer SMBs typically can’t afford full-time — strategy, security posture, vendor accountability, a clear technology roadmap. If you need an MSP, we’ll help you pick the right one.
  • How is this different from hiring a full-time CTO or CISO?
    Same caliber of decision-making, fractional cost. You get partner-level access without funding a $300k+ FTE, and the framework outlives any single engagement. Most clients run AEGIS for two–3 years and only hire full-time once they’re north of ~150 people.
  • What size business is ad2 Tech for?
    Roughly 15 to 1,500 employees. The lower bound is where executive technology leadership starts to make a measurable difference. Above 1,500 you’re usually better served by a full-time team — we’ll tell you when you’ve outgrown us.
  • Is Project AEGIS software we buy?
    No. AEGIS is the platform we run engagements through — it is how we deliver work. You don’t license it, install it, or maintain it. You hire the partnership and AEGIS comes with.
  • Are you SOC 2 or ISO certified?
    No. We are a two-partner firm by design and don’t carry these certifications today. If your contract requires them, we’ll point you at firms that do. We name this on the homepage because the inverse — implying we have something we don’t — isn’t how we work.
  • What does a flat monthly fee actually cover?
    Named hours of partner time, the AEGIS continuous-monitoring platform, monthly posture deltas, quarterly roadmap reviews, vendor advocacy on your side of the table, and incident triage coordination. Spelled out in the SOW. No scope creep, no surprise invoices.
